BetPawa Expands Locker Room Bonus to Support Both Men’s and Women’s Teams in Ghana
BetPawa has taken a major step toward gender equality in football by extending its popular Locker Room Bonus to cover both men’s and women’s football teams in Ghana.
The announcement came during the launch of the company’s renewed sponsorship agreement with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) ahead of the upcoming football season.
Borah Ndanyunga, Head of Local Marketing and CSR at BetPawa, emphasized the importance of inclusivity in rewarding players’ efforts.
We recognize the dedication of all players—regardless of gender—and this initiative ensures everyone is equally appreciated, she stated.
First introduced in October 2022, the Locker Room Bonus provides GHS 400 to each player for every league win by their team. With a full squad, a single win can generate up to GHS 8,000 in total rewards, serving as both a morale booster and financial incentive.
The expanded initiative is expected to uplift the women’s game while reinforcing BetPawa’s commitment to developing Ghanaian football at all levels.
