In a statement signed by Executive Chairman Togbe Afede XIV, the Board said the committee would steer the club “pending the appointment of a new management team,” and called on stakeholders to rally behind the new arrangement.

The reshuffle comes days after Emunah, who was appointed Managing Director on February 2, 2026, announced his own resignation after roughly seven months in charge. Emunah, a former Head of Competitions at the Ghana Football Association, had described the decision as difficult but stressed he remained committed to the club “in whatever capacity” he could serve going forward.
The Board used the statement to reassure supporters, sponsors and the football community that the leadership transition would not disrupt the club’s broader ambitions.
It said it was “taking all steps necessary to ensure that the Club continues its pursuit of pre-eminence not just in the country but continentally,” even as the search for a new management team continues.
The committee brings together figures from finance, operations, administration and grassroots mobilization, with Alhaji Yusif Abdullai’s inclusion, in his capacity as Chairman of the National Chapter Committee (NCC), signalling an emphasis on rallying the club’s nationwide supporter base during the transition period.
Hearts of Oak, one of Ghana’s most decorated clubs, have in recent seasons gone through several changes at the managing director level. The Board’s statement gave no indication of a timeline for when a substantive appointment would be made.
