Head coach Carlos Queiroz has officially submitted his squad list for Ghana’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures, with the Black Stars set to face Ivory Coast away in Bouaké before hosting the Gambia in Accra.

According to Asante Twum, the list must first be reviewed by the GFA’s Management Committee before receiving final clearance from the Executive Council, a standard procedural step the association follows ahead of every squad announcement for the senior national team.
Once that process is complete, the GFA will move to formally notify the selected players before releasing the squad to the public. Asante Twum indicated the association is hopeful the announcement can be made as early as next week, giving Queiroz’s charges sufficient time to report to camp and begin preparations.

The two fixtures represent a significant test for Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. The Black Stars will first travel to Bouaké to face regional rivals Ivory Coast, the reigning AFCON champions, before returning home to Accra to take on the Gambia in what promises to be a pivotal double-header.
