Benjamin Kweku Azamati has booked a place in the men’s 100m final at the ongoing 13th African Games, Accra 2023.
The Ghanaian runner secured a spot in the final after running a time of 10.41seconds in the semifinal 2 and finishing second in the race.
Cameron’s Emmanuel Eseme, finished first in that semifinal contest with a time of 10.23seconds.
Barnabas Aggerh also ensured that Team Ghana had another representation in the final.
He also finished 2nd in semi final 1 with a time of 10.42 seconds to book a place in final.
Martin Ansah Sarfo, however, failed to make the final after finishing fifth in the semifinal 1.
Ghana will hope to clinch two medals in the men’s 100m after Azamati and Aggerh made the finals.
