The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) has officially announced plans to host the National Individual Championship 2026. In a notice directed to the United Coaches Association of Ghana, the Federation outlined the event details and extended an invitation to all coaches and boxing clubs across the country.
The championship is scheduled to take place from January 29th to February 1st, 2026. The first three days of competition will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium, starting daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The event will conclude with the finals at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The GBF emphasizes that this championship is a key platform for boxers to display their skills and talent. It also serves as a major selection ground for the national team. Winners and runners-up will earn the opportunity to represent Ghana in international competitions.
In the notice, the Federation expressed its commitment to organizing a memorable event. It promised top-notch facilities and fair judging to ensure the sport and its athletes are promoted effectively. The goal is to provide equal opportunity and allow deserving athletes to earn the right to represent their country on the global stage.
The GBF calls on all coaches and clubs to prepare their boxers for this national event. The notice was copied to all GBF Regional Associations, registered boxing clubs and gyms, the GBF Referees/Judges Association, and all security services.
