The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has announced it will pursue legal procedures with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). This action relates to the events at the end of the final match between the Moroccan and Senegalese national teams.
The FRMF’s statement focuses on the decision by officials to dismiss the Senegalese team from the pitch. This occurred after the referee awarded a penalty kick, a decision widely acknowledged by specialists as correct. The Federation argues that the subsequent events significantly disrupted the normal flow of the match and negatively impacted the performance of the players.

In the same announcement, the FRMF expressed its deep gratitude to the Moroccan supporters. It extended its heartfelt thanks to the massive and passionate crowds whose exemplary support accompanied the national team throughout all its matches, as well as during other games in the AFCON. The Federation also thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the AFCON
