Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Plc. has announced the appointment of Mr. Julius Ben Emunah as its new Managing Director. The appointment took effect on February 2, 2026.

Mr. Emunah takes over from Dr. Delali Anku-Adiamah, who has left the position. The Club’s Board of Directors expressed their strong belief in Mr. Emunah’s ability to lead the team forward.

The new Managing Director brings with him nearly ten years of high-level experience in football administration. He has worked both in Ghana and across Africa. Before joining Hearts of Oak, Mr. Emunah was the Head of Competitions at the Ghana Football Association (GFA). His past roles also include Regional Administrator for the Western Region FA, National Safety and Security Officer, and Club Licensing Manager at the GFA.

His career shows a proven record in managing competitions, organizing sports events, working with the media, and engaging with key partners. He has played important roles in major tournaments such as the CAF Interclub Finals, AFCON Qualifiers, CHAN, and the African Games.

Mr. Emunah is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast, where he earned a degree in Environmental Science. He also holds a Global Master’s in Sports Management and Legal Skills from the ISDE Law Business School in Spain, completed in partnership with FC Barcelona.

In his new role, Mr. Emunah will be responsible for the Club’s day-to-day administrative, commercial, and sporting activities. He will work closely with technical staff, players, supporters, sponsors, and all stakeholders to build a strong foundation for lasting success.

The Board stated that this appointment marks the start of a new phase for Accra Hearts of Oak, one focused on greater professionalism, transparency, and competitiveness, in line with international standards.

Accra Hearts of Oak reaffirms its commitment to achieving excellence both on and off the field and welcomes Mr. Emunah as he leads the Club into this promising new chapter.
