Celta Vigo Complete Permanent Signing of Somuah from Asante Kotoko
Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo have secured the permanent transfer of highly-rated Ghanaian forward Bernard Somuah from Asante Kotoko, following an impressive loan spell in Spain.
Somuah, who initially joined the Galician outfit on loan in 2024, has been developing with the club’s reserve side, Celta Fortuna.
The 20-year-old forward made a strong impression during his time with the B team, scoring five goals this season and showcasing his attacking potential.
His performances have convinced Celta Vigo to activate a permanent move, with the Ghanaian youngster now committing his future to the Spanish club in a deal that runs until 2030.
The transfer marks a significant milestone in Somuah’s young career, highlighting his steady rise from the Ghana Premier League to Spanish football.
For Asante Kotoko, the deal represents another successful export of talent to Europe, while Celta Vigo continue to invest in promising young players as part of their long-term project.
Somuah will now aim to continue his development in Spain and push for opportunities at senior level as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.
