Razak Kasim Set to Join Ethiopian Club, Welwalo City FC

Razak Kasim, the former Great Olympics defensive midfielder, is nearing a transfer to Ethiopian club Welwalo City FC.

The move comes after a protracted transfer saga that saw the player linked with the Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

Kasim revealed in an interview with ‘Mo on Transfer Deadline Day’ that he chose to join Welwalo City FC because he was seeking a new challenge in his career.

“I joined the Ethiopian club because I wanted a new challenge”, Kasim revealed.

The midfielder spent several seasons with Great Olympics but after suffering relegation he was eager to test himself in a different league.

The transfer fee for Kasim’s move to Welwalo City FC has not been disclosed. However, it is believed that the Ethiopian club paid a significant fee to secure his signature.

Kasim’s departure from Great Olympics is a significant loss for the Ghanaian club. The midfielder was a key player for the team and his absence will be felt. However, Great Olympics will be hoping to replace Kasim with a player of similar quality as they strive to get back to top-flight football.

Welwalo City FC, on the other hand, will be delighted with their acquisition of Kasim. The midfielder is a talented player with a proven track record in Ghanaian football.

He is expected to make a significant contribution to Welwalo City FC’s success in the Ethiopian Premier League.

It remains to be seen how Kasim will adapt to the challenges of playing in the Ethiopian Premier League. However, given his talent and experience, there is no doubt that he has the potential to be a success in his new environment.
