Nana Agyeman Plots Defensive Approach to Punish Hearts’ Goal Struggles

Vision FC head coach Nana Kwaku Agyeman has revealed a calculated tactical plan to capitalize on the attacking difficulties of Hearts of Oak ahead of their Ghana Premier League showdown this weekend.

Hearts of Oak have endured a frustrating campaign in front of goal, scoring just 20 times in 28 matches, a return that leaves them as the second lowest-scoring side in the league, only above Eleven Wonders, who have netted 14.

Hearts are the second least scoring side in the GPL

In an interview with analyst Mohammed Shaban, Agyeman made it clear his side will adopt a cautious but opportunistic approach.

“We know Hearts are not scoring a lot, so we will be compact and disciplined defensively, shut up shop and wait for our moment,” he explained.

“The key is to get the first goal. Once that happens, they’ll have no choice but to come at us, and that will open up spaces we can take advantage of.”

Vision FC, however, have yet to get the better of the Phobians since their promotion to the top flight. In three league meetings so far, they have lost twice and drawn once.

With Vision FC hovering just above the relegation zone, sitting one place and two points clear of danger, this fixture presents a crucial opportunity for Agyeman and his ‘Eewo Kɛkɛ’ side to strengthen their survival bid.
