Otto Addo Names 22-Man Black Stars Squad for Japan and South Korea Friendlies
Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has named a 22-man squad for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Japan and South Korea this November.
The selection features a refreshing mix of youth and experience, as Addo continues to build a competitive team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Notably, regulars such as Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and Mohammed Kudus have been rested, paving the way for new faces to make their mark. Prince Kwabena Adu, Kelvin Nkrumah, and Prince Osei Owusu have all earned maiden call-ups following impressive performances for their respective clubs.
The friendly matches, scheduled for November 14 against Japan and November 18 against South Korea, form part of Ghana’s ongoing efforts to test tactical options and assess emerging talents against top Asian opposition.
Coach Addo emphasized that the tour offers “a valuable opportunity to blend new players into the system and strengthen squad depth.”
