Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu has been named in AS Monaco’s squad for their highly anticipated Ligue 1 clash against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Friday night. The 25-year-old center-back is among the 21 players selected by head coach Adi Hütter for the crucial Week 21 fixture in Paris.

Since joining Monaco in 2023, Salisu has been a defensive pillar for the French side. He signed a five-season contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028. In the ongoing 2024/25 Ligue 1 campaign, he has made 13 appearances and already found the back of the net once.

Before moving to France, Salisu spent three years at Southampton, where he played from 2020 to 2023. During his time in the Premier League, he made 68 appearances and scored just one goal.

The Ghanaian international recently met with Black Stars head coach Otto Addo and is expected to be part of Ghana’s squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

With a long-term future at Monaco, fans will be hoping to see more goals from the talented defender in the years to come.
