Afena-Gyan Robbed While Away On Black Stars Duty
Ghana striker Felix Afena-Gyan has been robbed after thieves broke into his residence in Bergamo while he was away on international duty with the Black Stars.
The forward had travelled to represent Ghana in Saturday’s international friendly against Mexico, which ended in a 2-0 defeat for the Black Stars against El Tri.
After returning from camp, Afena-Gyan discovered that some valuable items had been stolen from his apartment. Details of the stolen belongings have not yet been disclosed.

The incident comes at a difficult time for the former AS Roma youngster, who is working hard to cement his place in Ghana’s squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
Despite the defeat to Mexico, Afena-Gyan impressed with his energy and movement in attack and is expected to remain in contention for a place in Carlos Queiroz’s final squad selection.
The 23-year-old recently enjoyed a productive spell in Turkey during his loan move from US Cremonese to Amedspor.
Afena-Gyan played a key role in helping Amedspor secure promotion to the Turkish Super Lig, scoring five goals and providing six assists during the campaign.
The Ghanaian attacker will now hope to put the unfortunate burglary behind him and focus on his future both at club level and with the national team.
