The former Chairman of the Ghana Premier League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Mr. Kudjoe Fianoo, has called for a leadership change in the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to restore the glory days of Ghanaian football.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show with Dennis Asamoah Alatula, Mr. Fianoo criticized the current leadership, claiming it is hindering the growth of the sport in the country.
“Poor leadership is holding back the development of our football, and if we make changes, we will see progress,” Mr. Fianoo stated.
He passionately highlighted the underperformance of the national teams in international competitions, attributing this to the mismanagement of the current administration. According to him, a leadership change would lead to improvements across various aspects of Ghanaian football.
Mr. Fianoo also spoke about the sudden passing of Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporter Nana Kwame Frimpong. He urged the Ghana Football Association and the government to take such incidents seriously and put effective measures in place to protect individuals involved in the sport.
