Elmina Sharks owner Papa Kwesi Ndoum has been handed a suspended three-month ban and fined GHS 10,000 for his role in the violence that marred the Elmina Sharks vs. Swedru All Blacks match in February.

The disciplinary action, announced on March 26, 2025, follows investigations into incidents that erupted during the fiercely contested game. Reports indicate that clashes between supporters and officials escalated, leading to injuries and property damage.

The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) disciplinary committee found Ndoum culpable of conduct that contributed to the chaotic scenes. However, his ban has been suspended, meaning he will only serve it if he is found guilty of a similar offense in the future.

In a statement, the GFA emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and ensuring the safety of all stakeholders in the sport. They also reiterated their commitment to enforcing regulations that promote fair play and respect in Ghanaian football.

Elmina Sharks is yet to release an official response to the ruling. However, sources close to the club suggest they are considering their next course of action, including whether to appeal the decision.
