Grassroots sports development remains the foundation of every successful sporting country, and this important conversation takes center stage on the upcoming Sports Business Series with Mr. Cogan Sakyi, the Oti Regional Sports Development Officer of the National Sports Authority (NSA).

With extensive experience in sports development and promotion at the regional level, Mr. Sakyi has played a key role in identifying and nurturing young talent while championing the need for improved sports infrastructure across communities.

His work focuses on creating opportunities for aspiring athletes and ensuring that sports development extends beyond the major cities to every corner of the country.

On the Sports Business Series, Mr. Sakyi will share valuable insights into the importance of grassroots sports in Ghana’s sporting landscape.

He is expected to discuss talent identification, community-based sports development, and the role regional sporting activities play in building future national champions.

The discussion will also explore how flagship sporting events, including the All Star Festival, can stimulate regional development, inspire youth participation, and strengthen the pathway from local communities to national and international competition.

As Ghana continues to pursue sustainable sports development, Mr. Sakyi’s perspective offers a timely reminder that investing in grassroots sports is essential to unlocking the country’s immense sporting potential and creating lasting opportunities for the next generation of athletes.
