Team Manager of the Black Stars and General Manager of Dreams FC, Ameenu Shardow, has given the current Ghana Football Association (GFA) administration a score of 7 out of 10, citing notable progress in several areas while also acknowledging challenges in communication and transparency.
In an interview with The BAC Sports, Shardow highlighted key achievements under the leadership of GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, praising the strides made in both men’s and women’s football, as well as grassroots development.
I will rate the current GFA administration seven on a scale of 10, he stated. We have done a lot of good things during our tenure in office.
Despite these successes, Shadow admitted that the administration’s biggest weakness has been its inability to effectively communicate with the public. According to him, this communication gap has often led to misunderstandings about decisions and policies.
Our biggest challenge has been the inability to communicate properly for the public to understand. We’ve also been silent on some of the challenges we face in office, he said.
Shardow stressed the importance of transparency in football administration and called for a more open approach to decision-making.
We should be able to let people understand why certain decisions are made. And if decisions go the wrong way, it’s important we admit it, even if the intentions were good.
