Team Manager of the Black Stars and General Manager of Dreams FC, Ameenu Shardow, has emphasized the need for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to strategically invest financial gains from major tournaments into infrastructure development.
Speaking in an interview with The BAC Sports, Shardow noted that qualification for international competitions like the FIFA World Cup should go beyond short-term benefits and instead be tied to long-term investments that will benefit Ghana football at all levels.
We should be able to link the financial gains for qualifying for tournaments to build infrastructure, Shardow stated.
He highlighted that the GFA is already making strides in this direction, revealing that a hostel is currently being built from the proceeds earned during the Black Stars’ participation in the previous FIFA World Cup.
