Aduana and Kotoko share spoils in Dormaa
Aduana FC were forced to settle for a frustrating goalless draw against Asante Kotoko in their Ghana Premier League clash at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in Dormaa.
The hosts started with intensity and purpose, dictating the tempo and pinning Kotoko back for large spells of the game. Their attacking intent was clear, but the final pass and composure in front of goal let them down when it mattered most.
Despite Aduana’s dominance, clear-cut chances remained scarce. A few half opportunities fell their way, but none tested Kotoko’s goalkeeper enough to force a breakthrough. The visitors, on the other hand, approached the game with discipline, staying compact and organized at the back.
Kotoko’s defensive unit proved the difference on the day. Calm under pressure and well-structured, they absorbed Aduana’s attacks and ensured they left Dormaa with a valuable clean sheet.
For Aduana, this result will sting. In a match they largely controlled, failing to secure all three points highlights a growing concern in their recent form.
With just one win in their last five matches, they are gradually losing ground in the title race and cannot afford many more slip-ups.
Kotoko, however, will view the result differently. Picking up a point away from home against a strong opponent keeps them firmly in contention.
Their title ambitions remain intact, and maintaining a place in the top four will be seen as a positive outcome given the circumstances of the game.
