The Ghana Badminton team has delivered an outstanding performance at the ongoing African Games, achieving a historic feat by securing five spots in the Badminton finals. This accomplishment guarantees the nation an additional five medals, elevating the total confirmed medal count to six following the Mixed Team bronze secured earlier in the competition.

This remarkable success means every Ghanaian athlete who competed in the semi-final stage is now a confirmed medal winner. The team’s collective effort has positioned Ghana for its most successful badminton outing at the Games, with the final medal colors to be determined in tomorrow’s championship matches.

The team’s qualification was built on a series of commanding victories across multiple disciplines:

Boys’ Doubles: The pair of Andy Amofa and Adu-Mintah Obapomba secured a significant victory, defeating the top-seeded team in their category to advance to the gold medal match.
Girls’ Singles: Reachel Quarcoo displayed exceptional skill and determination, earning a decisive win over the number two seed to claim her place in the final.
Girls’ Doubles: The duo of Moslena Adu and Racheal Quarcoo delivered a strong performance to overcome their opponents from Egypt, booking their spot in the Badminton finals.
