Ghana’s young athletes are scheduled to return home today at 3:00 PM, arriving at Kotoka International Airport. They are coming back from the 2025 African Youth Games in Luanda, Angola, where they delivered a strong performance for the nation.
The team achieved a total of 21 medals at the competition. Their final medal count stands at three (3) gold, six (6) silver, and twelve (12) bronze medals.
The gold medals were secured in Badminton and Boxing. Badminton was the most successful discipline overall, contributing two golds and leading the total medal count for Ghana with six. Silver medals were won in Badminton, Weightlifting, Athletics, and Boxing. Bronze medals were spread across eight different sports, showcasing the team’s wide range of talent.

The Ghana Olympic Committee is expected to welcome the team upon their arrival. The public is invited to join in celebrating these promising athletes who have made the nation proud.
