Al Hilal have taken official action against forward Abdullah Al Hamdan following his transfer to rivals Al Nassr. The club submitted a formal complaint to the Saudi Arabian Football Federation

The complaint centers on the manner of Al Hamdan’s departure. Al Hilal states that the player ended his contract with them without a valid reason. The club calls this move a clear violation of rules and a direct attempt to bypass football regulations.

The dispute stems from the timing of the transfer. Sources indicate Al Hamdan’s contract with Al Hilal was due to end on Friday, February 6. However, before that date, the player informed Al Hilal via email that he was ending the agreement on his own.

This allowed Al Hamdan to join Al Nassr as a free agent. He was named on the substitute bench for Al Nassr’s match against Al Ittihad on Friday making his new affiliation public.

In its filing, Al Hilal argues that the unilateral termination is not justified. The club now seeks a ruling from the federation on the matter. The case highlights ongoing tensions over player contracts and transfers within the Saudi league.
