Ameenu Shardow, the Team Manager of the Black Stars, has dismissed suggestions that his selection was influenced by his relationship with the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Speaking in an interview with The BAC Sports, Ameenu clarified that he was not the only candidate considered for the role and that the process was more competitive than perceived.

I didn’t get the Black Stars Team Manager job because of my relationship with the GFA President. I wasn’t the only person considered for the role, he stated.

Ameenu is the General Manager of Dreams FC, a Ghana Premier League club owned by GFA President Kurt Okraku, a fact that has sparked speculation about conflict of interest and favoritism.

However, Ameenu insists his experience and professionalism were the key factors behind his appointment to the senior national team’s technical staff.
