Ancelotti Set for New Brazil Deal

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed he is ready to commit his long-term future to Brazil national football team, revealing that he expects to sign a new four-year contract that would keep him in charge for the 2026 and the 2030 FIFA World Cups.

Speaking to Movistar about his future, the Italian tactician said:

“I believe I will renew my contract with Brazil for four years. It’s a new job… and I’m really impressed by it.”

His comments signal strong continuity for the Seleção as they prepare for the next two global tournaments.

Ancelotti took charge of Brazil in May 2025 after leaving Real Madrid CF, becoming the first foreign coach to permanently manage the five-time world champions in the modern era.

Widely regarded as one of the most successful managers in football history having won league titles in Italy, England, France, Germany and Spain, as well as multiple UEFA Champions League trophies, the move marked his first role in international football.

Since his appointment, Ancelotti has overseen Brazil’s World Cup qualification campaign, guiding the team as they sealed their place at the upcoming global showpiece. The 2026 tournament, officially the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will be hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Despite stepping in during the qualifying process, he successfully steadied the squad and ensured their progression to the Mundial.

The proposed extension would see Ancelotti remain in charge for both the 2026 and 2030 World Cups, giving Brazil rare managerial stability across two full tournament cycles.

For a nation that last lifted the trophy in 2002, continuity could prove crucial as they aim to secure a historic sixth world title.

With a blend of experienced stars and emerging talents, Brazil’s long-term project now appears firmly tied to Ancelotti’s leadership and if the renewal is finalized, the Italian will have the opportunity to shape the Seleção’s next golden era.
