Following a commanding 3-0 victory over Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League, Arsenal winger Noni Madueke has expressed his belief that the club is capable of achieving success on multiple fronts this season.
The result at the Jan Breydel Stadium marked Arsenal’s sixth consecutive win in the competition, along with a fifth clean sheet. Madueke was instrumental in the triumph, scoring a brace and earned him the Player of the Match award.
In a post-match interview Madueke outlined the squad’s ambitious objectives. “We’re fighting on all fronts,” he stated. “I feel we can compete across every competition. Winning the Champions League and the Premier League has to be our aim. The team is in a positive moment.”
The victory solidifies Arsenal’s position at the top of their Champions League group with two fixtures remaining. This European form complements their domestic campaign, where the team currently leads the Premier League table after 15 matches.
Manager Mikel Arteta also addressed the media, praising his team’s resilience amid a demanding schedule and several player absences. “We understand the difficulty of winning away in the Champions League,” With a number of players unavailable, the challenge becomes greater. I spoke to the squad about demonstrating desire and resilience, and they delivered.”
Arteta highlighted the contribution of midfielder Christian Norgaard as a benchmark for the squad. “He is an example, a player whose preparation is exceptional. He elevates the entire group daily, plays in any position or condition required, and maintains an immaculate attitude consistently.”
Arsenal’s focus now shifts to the Premier League, where they will face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Emirates Stadium this Saturday.
