Ghana’s all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan, has called on the Black Stars to show full commitment and determination as they prepare for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Madagascar in Morocco.

Gyan, who captained Ghana at multiple World Cup tournaments, emphasized the importance of the global stage and urged the players to give their all in pursuit of qualification.

Sometimes, you can come and your club will be telling you to be careful, but the World Cup is the ultimate. Gyan stated.

With Ghana currently leading Group I with 12 points, two ahead of Madagascar a victory in tonight’s Matchday six fixture will strengthen the Black Stars’ position in the qualification race.

Encouraging the team to fight with passion, Gyan reminded them that talent alone is not enough.

Let’s go 100%. I want Ghanaians to see you heckling and fighting. We have great players, the talent and everything is there, but that commitment just a bit more and we will get there. He said.

The Black Stars, four-time African champions, are pushing for their fifth World Cup appearance, having last featured in Qatar 2022.

The much-anticipated clash is set to kick off at 19:00 GMT at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium in Morocco.
