Ayew Scores Debut Goal for NAC Breda in Thrilling Draw Against Feyenoord
Andre Ayew finally opened his scoring account for NAC Breda, netting a powerful header in a 3-3 draw with Feyenoord Rotherdam in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The 36-year-old Ghanaian forward, who had already made 8 appearances for the club since his January move, marked his debut goal in style, helping his team fight back after twice trailing in the game.
The match was a rollercoaster, with both teams exchanging leads in a tense affair. After being behind on two occasions in the first half, Ayew’s first goal for the club gave Breda a 3-2 advantage at the break.
The veteran striker’s header came from a perfectly delivered cross, rising above the Feyenoord defenders to put Breda ahead for the first time in the match.
Feyenoord, however, responded with an equalizer from Ayase Ueda, making it 3-3 midway through the second half.
Despite some fierce attacking attempts, neither side could find a fourth goal, and the match ended in a draw.
Kamal Sowah, another Ghanaian player at the club, also found the back of the net for NAC Breda, his first of the season.

However, despite the thrilling performance, Breda remains in the relegation zone, and the pressure mounts with only 8 games left to play in the season.
Ayew’s goal was a long-awaited moment for the 36-year-old, who had been working hard to find his rhythm since joining the Dutch side in January. Now that he has broken his duck, Ayew will be eager to build on his momentum and help lead NAC Breda to safety.
With his wealth of experience and leadership qualities, Ayew’s presence in Breda’s fight for survival is invaluable. The club will look to the veteran forward to continue making an impact as they battle against relegation in the remaining weeks of the Eredivisie season.
