The Black Stars of Ghana delivered a commanding performance at the Accra Sports Stadium, thrashing Chad 5-0 in their World Cup qualifying match.

The emphatic victory further solidified Ghana’s position at the top of Group I, bringing them closer to qualification.

The match started with an early goal from Antoine Semenyo in the 2nd minute, setting the tone for a dominant display. Inaki Williams doubled Ghana’s lead in the 32nd minute after a brilliant assist from Schindler Kingsley. Just five minutes later, captain Jordan Ayew converted a penalty, making it 3-0 before halftime.

The second half saw more attacking play from the Black Stars. Mohammed Salisu extended the lead in the 57th minute following an assist from Ernest Nuamah, who later found the net himself in the 69th minute with a setup from Jordan Ayew, sealing the 5-0 victory.

With this win, Ghana now leads Group I with 12 points and a goal difference of 12:5, keeping them ahead of Madagascar, who trail by two points.

The Black Stars will face Madagascar in their next qualifying match on Monday in Morocco, where they will seek another crucial victory to edge closer to securing their spot in the World Cup.
