“Coaches not solely responsible for results” – Mas-Ud Didi Dramani ahead of Kotoko clash

Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has downplayed the notion that coaches should carry the full burden for match results, insisting that outcomes are often beyond a manager’s total control.

Speaking to JoySports ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated super clash against fierce rivals Asante Kotoko, Dramani stressed that while coaches influence performance and playing style, results cannot always be attributed solely to the man on the touchline.

“Coaches are not responsible for the outcome of games but many times they’re seen to be solely responsible,” he said. “Coaches are responsible for how the teams play and perform but the outcome is sometimes very difficult to control.”

Dramani’s comments come in the wake of the recent departure of Karim Zito as head coach of Kotoko, a development that has stirred conversations about managerial accountability in Ghanaian football.

With the Super Clash looming, the Hearts of Oak trainer appeared focused on preparation and performance rather than the external narratives surrounding the Porcupine Warriors’ technical bench changes.

The much-anticipated encounter between the two Ghanaian giants promises to deliver intensity and drama, as both sides seek supremacy in one of African football’s most storied rivalries.
