Crystal Palace extend dominance over Liverpool with emphatic Carabao Cup win

Crystal Palace continued their impressive run against Liverpool with a commanding 3–0 victory in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, securing a place in the quarter-finals and deepening the Reds’ recent woes.

The Eagles, who have made a habit of upsetting Liverpool in recent meetings, once again got the better of the English champions at Anfield.

A late first-half brace from Senegalese winger, Ismaila Sarr put Palace firmly in control before Yeremy Pino added a third after the break to seal a memorable win for Oliver Glasner’s side.

The result means Palace have now beaten Liverpool three times in a row, following their Community Shield triumph and 2–1 Premier League win at Selhurst Park earlier this season.

The Reds are now winless in their last four games against the Eagles, losing three and drawing one.

For Liverpool, the defeat piles further pressure on manager Arne Slot, whose side have now lost six of their last seven matches in all competitions. The slump has raised questions about their form and confidence heading into a crucial phase of the campaign.

Palace, meanwhile, march on to the last eight of the Carabao Cup brimming with belief and with their growing reputation as Liverpool’s bogey side firmly intact.
