The road to continental glory in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2025/26 has been mapped out following the quarter-final draw in Cairo, with a high-stakes Moroccan derby taking centre stage among the final eight teams.

Morocco’s Olympique de Safi will lock horns with domestic rivals Wydad Casablanca in a fiercely two-legged tie. Safi are set to host the first leg, in what promises to be a tightly contested encounter between two sides well acquainted with each other’s strengths.

The clash guarantees Morocco a representative in the semi-finals, adding further intrigue to an already compelling fixture.

Elsewhere, Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek SC will begin their quarter-final campaign on the road against Congolese side AS Otoho. The Cairo giants will be aiming to secure a strong away result before returning home for the decisive second leg.

Fellow Egyptian club Al Masry face a stern test against Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, with the first leg scheduled to take place in Egypt.

Meanwhile, AS Maniema Union of the Democratic Republic of Congo will also enjoy home advantage in their opening encounter as they take on Algerian outfit USM Alger.

The quarter-final ties are slated for 13–15 March (first legs) and 20–22 March (second legs), with all teams eyeing progression to the last four of Africa’s prestigious club competition.

The draw also outlined the pathway to the final. The winner of the tie between AS Maniema Union and USM Alger will face either Olympique de Safi or Wydad Casablanca in the semi-finals, hosting the first leg. In the other semi-final, the winner between Al Masry and CR Belouizdad will take on the winner of AS Otoho versus Zamalek SC, also beginning at home.

Semi-final fixtures are scheduled for 10–12 April (first legs) and 17–19 April (second legs).

The final itself will be played over two legs, with the first scheduled for 9 May and the return leg set for 16 May. Notably, the team emerging from the second semi-final will host the opening leg of the final.
