Didi Dramani Invites 32 Players to Black Galaxies Camp Ahead of CHAN Qualifier against Nigeria
Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, the head coach of Ghana’s Black Galaxies, has announced a 32-man squad for a pre-CHAN qualifiers training camp as the team begins preparations for their crucial 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Nigeria.
The camp is set to commence on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. The squad will engage in a rigorous training program, including tactical drills, fitness enhancement, and friendly matches, all aimed at fine-tuning the team for the high-stakes matches ahead.
The first phase of the camping will run until December 5, during which the team will focus on building cohesion and implementing Coach Dramani’s strategies. Following this, the camp will break temporarily to accommodate Ghana’s National elections before resuming on December 8.
The Black Galaxies are gearing up for a two-legged qualifier against Nigeria, with the first leg to be hosted in Ghana on Saturday, December 21, 2024. The return leg is scheduled to take place in Nigeria between December 27 and 29, 2024.
The Black Galaxies have a history of success against their Nigerian counterparts, having defeated them in the qualifiers to secure a place in the 2023 CHAN tournament.
Coach Dramani and his team are determined to replicate that achievement and secure their spot in the 2025 CHAN tournament, which will be co-hosted by Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
The selected squad is expected to showcase some of Ghana’s best domestic talents, as the CHAN tournament is exclusively for players competing in their national leagues.
The camp will provide an opportunity for the team to solidify their tactics and foster the teamwork needed to overcome a formidable Nigerian side.
Ghana and Nigeria share a storied football rivalry, and the upcoming qualifiers promise to be yet another thrilling chapter in their competitive history.
The Black Galaxies will rely on their experience, skill, and home advantage in the first leg as they aim to set the tone for a successful qualification campaign.
Fans eagerly await the December fixtures, hoping the team’s preparations will lead to another triumph over their West African rivals.
