Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku made sure a loyal supporter had a birthday to remember, handing over his goalscoring shirt to a fan celebrating his 55th birthday.

The Ghanaian international was the star of the show at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night, helping the Foxes secure a 2–0 victory over Bristol City in the Championship.

After Ben Nelson headed the home side in front on 13 minutes, Fatawu doubled the lead before the half-hour mark with a fine finish.

The winger received a clever pass from Bobby De Cordova-Reid and drilled a right-footed shot from a tight angle into the bottom corner. It was his ninth league goal of the 2025/26 season, adding to an impressive tally of seven assists.

Fatawu was a constant threat throughout the match. He continued to cause problems for the Bristol City defence after the break, trying his luck from distance on several occasions. He also turned provider, setting up Patson Daka with a well-weighted pass, only for the striker to see his low drive saved by the goalkeeper.

After the final whistle, Fatawu took a moment to connect with the stands. He spotted a Leicester fan celebrating his 55th birthday and decided to give him his match-worn shirt as a special gift.

The fan left the stadium with more than just a win to remember on his special day.

The result keeps Leicester’s survival push on track. Next up for Fatawu and his teammates is another home fixture, as they host Queens Park Rangers at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, March 14.
