The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has indefinitely banned Nsoatreman FC from using the Nana Koramansah Park as their home venue following violent incidents during their Ghana Premier League Matchday 19 clash against Asante Kotoko.
This decision follows the chaos that erupted during the match, which saw Nsoatreman secure a 1-0 victory but was marred by violence, injuries, and the tragic loss of a life.
Citing Article 14(2) of the Premier League Regulations, the GFA enforced the ban as a precautionary measure to protect all stakeholders while investigations are carried out.
The association has assigned its Security Committee, chaired by DCOP Lydia Donkor, to gather evidence, including match reports and relevant documents, for submission to the Disciplinary Committee.
Additionally, the Ghana Police Service has been instructed to conduct a full investigation to identify, apprehend, and prosecute those responsible for the violence.
Reiterating its strict stance against violence, intimidation, and hooliganism in football, the GFA has warned that severe penalties will be imposed on any club, official, or supporter found guilty of misconduct.
