Godwin Attram and 3 others leave Ghana for UEFA License B course

Four Ghanaian coaches have left the country for Wales to begin an intensive UEFA B Licence training programme, marking another important step in the development of coaching education in Ghana.

The programme is being undertaken through a partnership between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Football Association of Wales (FAW), aimed at enhancing the technical and tactical capacity of Ghanaian coaches in line with modern global standards.

The selected coaches are Black Galaxies assistant coach Godwin Attram, Black Satellites assistant coach and Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon, Ghana U15 head coach Salifu Fatawu, and Hearts of Oak assistant coach Abdulai Gazale.

Their inclusion reflects a blend of national team and club-level representation, underlining the GFA’s commitment to strengthening coaching across all levels of the game.

During their stay in Wales, the coaches will undergo rigorous theoretical and practical sessions covering player development, match analysis, modern training methodologies and leadership.

The training programme is scheduled to run until February 20, 2026, after which the coaches are expected to return to Ghana and apply the knowledge gained to their respective teams and the wider football ecosystem.

This initiative forms part of the GFA’s broader strategy to invest in human capital and raise coaching standards, with the long-term goal of improving performances at club, youth and senior national team levels.
