The development of rugby in the Upper East Region has received a major lift following a generous donation of equipment from the Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU).

Madam Rafatu Inusah, President of the GRFU, presented a package of essential training gear to the Upper East Rugby Association. The donation includes rugby balls, tackle bags, bibs, and jerseys.

This donation highlights the national Union’s strong focus on supporting the growth of the game at the grassroots level. It shows the GRFU’s confidence in the region’s potential and reflects a shared goal to expand rugby across Ghana.

The new resources will directly power the Association’s training sessions. They will help strengthen player development programs and inspire young athletes in communities throughout the Upper East.

This donation forms part of the GRFU’s wider mission to equip all regions, empower players, and build a strong future for Ghanaian rugby.

The initiative is set to have a deep and lasting impact on the sport in the Upper East, with benefits expected for many years.

Backed by the support of the Ghana Rugby Football Union and this vital new equipment, the association is in a strong position to develop player talent and promote the sport passionately across the region.
