Jackson’s future in the balance as Chelsea weigh summer options
Nicolas Jackson and Chelsea are set for crucial talks this summer as the 24-year-old prepares to return from his season-long loan spell at FC Bayern Munich.
Jackson joined the Bavarians on loan after helping Chelsea secure the FIFA Club World Cup trophy, with the deal including an option to buy. However, the German champions have decided not to activate that clause in the agreement signed last summer.

The Senegalese international has played a limited role in Bayern’s setup, largely operating as backup to Harry Kane. Kane’s sensational form has kept Jackson on the bench for much of the campaign, restricting him mostly to cameo appearances. He has managed just four goals for the Bundesliga giants during his stint in Germany so far.
With his return to Stamford Bridge imminent, Chelsea are expected to assess the best way forward. A permanent sale remains a possibility, though reintegration into the first-team squad under new head coach Liam Rosenior is also under consideration.

Rosenior has shown a willingness to give players a clean slate since taking charge, meaning Jackson could yet be handed an opportunity to prove himself.
All options remain on the table as club and player prepare for decisive summer discussions.
