Jonathan Tetteh affectionately called Worl wide delivered a controlled and impressive performance to defeat Seth “Freezy Macbones” Gyimah by unanimous decision
The victory, earned at the University of Ghana Stadium, secured Tetteh the WBA Africa light heavyweight championship.
Both boxers entered the ring with strong knockout records. However, Tetteh (11-0, 10 KOs) controlled the fight with smart boxing, accurate punches, and disciplined movement across eight rounds. The judges’ scorecards of 80-73, 78-74, and 77-75 confirmed his dominance.
Freezy Macbones (11-1, 10 KOs) pressed forward with his usual aggression but was often unable to land cleanly. Tetteh’s effective defense and timing repeatedly countered the attacks, allowing him to land the clearer, more telling shots.

The final round took a shocking turn. During a close exchange, Tetteh fell to the canvas, claiming he had been bitten on the shoulder by his opponent. The referee acted quickly, deducting points from Macbones for the foul.

This point deduction proved costly and cemented Tetteh’s lead on the scorecards. With this win, he retains his perfect professional record and establishes himself as a major contender in the African light heavyweight division. The WBA Africa title is a key career achievement and opens the door to larger opportunities.
