Kelvin Nkrumah Hat-trick Sends Medeama SC into MTN FA Cup Semi-finals

Youngster Kelvin Nkrumah produced a stunning late performance to power Medeama SC into the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup with a 3-0 victory over Attram de Visser after extra time.

The Division One League side proved a tough opponent for the Ghana Premier League leaders, holding Medeama to a goalless draw after the full 90 minutes.

Attram de Visser displayed resilience and discipline throughout regulation time, frustrating the Yellow and Mauves and forcing the contest into extra time.

However, Medeama eventually found their breakthrough in the closing stages of extra time, thanks to the brilliance of Kelvin Nkrumah.

The forward broke the deadlock in the 111th minute before doubling the advantage just four minutes later in the 115th minute. Nkrumah then completed a remarkable hat-trick in the 118th minute, scoring three goals within a seven-minute spell to seal an emphatic victory for the Tarkwa-based side.

The result confirms Medeama’s place in the semi-finals and completes the final four lineup of this season’s MTN FA Cup.

In the semi-final fixtures, Dreams FC, who eliminated Heart of Lions via a penalty shootout will face Medeama in the first semi-final clash.

The other semi-final will see Aduana FC take on Nations FC after Aduana secured a comfortable win over Techiman Liberty Youth in their quarter-final encounter.
