Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Chairman, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has expressed confidence in Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku’s potential to rise to the top of African football leadership, stating that with integrity and hard work, Okraku could one day become President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Speaking in the wake of Okraku’s recent appointment as CAF’s 2nd Vice-President, Dr. Tamakloe noted that the GFA President’s current trajectory positions him well for greater leadership roles within the continental and global football space.

If Kurt Okraku works hard, he might become CAF President,” Dr. Tamakloe stated. “Integrity and hard work will determine whether he can reach the CAF seat and eventually the FIFA level.

Okraku’s steady rise through the ranks, from leading the GFA, presiding over WAFU Zone B, and now serving in one of CAF’s highest offices has sparked national pride and speculation about his future in football governance.

Dr. Tamakloe, a respected figure in Ghanaian football circles, emphasized the importance of staying grounded and focused, advising Okraku to maintain transparency and accountability in all his engagements.

Okraku recently resigned from his WAFU Zone B presidency to focus on his dual responsibilities at CAF and the GFA, a move that has been widely interpreted as a strategic step in his leadership journey.
