Medeama Sporting Club took a major step toward the Ghana Premier League this weekend, securing a 3-1 victory over Karela United. The win at the Akoon Community Park extends their lead at the summit of the table to eight points.

They were powered by a two-goal performance from Kamaradini Mamudu, with Derrick Fordjour adding a third. The result marks 17 consecutive matches without defeat for coach Ibrahim Tanko’s team, solidifying their status as clear title favorites.

In the capital, Hearts of Oak produced a strong display to delight their supporters at the Legon Sports Stadium. The “Phobians” earned a convincing 3-0 win, with goals from Mawuli Wayo, Martin Karikari, and Kelvin Asibey ensuring they took all three points.

There was a return to winning ways for Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. After failing to win their previous three matches, the Porcupine Warriors delivered a confident 3-0 performance against Basake Holy Stars. This result lifts them to third position in the league standings.

Elsewhere, Aduana Stars continued their own push near the top of the table with a 2-0 away victory over Swedru All Blacks.
