In a move to ensure the integrity of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, Moroccan security services and police conducted a successful operation leading to four arrests.

The individuals are accused of serious offenses related to event security and organization. They were involved in the sale of counterfeit match tickets and the illegal production of fake media and press accreditation cards.

The operation highlights the ongoing and strict security measures being implemented at the AFCON.

Security officials emphasized that this action reflects their commitment to a safe and fair event. They points to Morocco security authorities commitment to professionalism and vigilance, stating a zero-tolerance policy towards any activities that threaten the organization of AFCON 2025.

The message from Moroccan organizers is clear, protecting the experience for all attendees is a top priority. They aim to guarantee that fans, national teams, and working media can all operate in a secure and well-managed environment.

Morocco is hosting the 35th edition of AFCON from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. This early enforcement action is intended to serve as a strong warning that any attempts at fraud or security breaches will be met with immediate legal consequences.
