In a pre-match press conference, Addo revealed that he’s looking forward to Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey to lead the team to victory. Jordan will captain the team in the absence of regular skipper Andre Ayew. This decision sees Jordan take on the leadership role over deputy captain Thomas Partey.

Ghana currently sits third in Group I with nine points from four matches, trailing Comoros also on nine points and leaders Madagascar, who have 10 points from five games. Mali follows with five points, while Central Africa and Chad occupy the bottom spots with four and zero points, respectively.
With the qualification race heating up, a victory against Chad is crucial for Ghana’s hopes of securing a spot in the next World Cup. While Chad has struggled, failing to secure a single point in four matches, the Black Stars cannot afford complacency.
