Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has reaffirmed his team’s commitment to securing victory against Madagascar in their next 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Ghana will face Madagascar away on Monday, March 24, in Round 6 of the African qualifiers, aiming to maintain their lead at the top of Group I. The Black Stars currently sit in first place following their emphatic 5-0 victory over Chad on Friday night at the Accra Sports Stadium.
With the group’s top spot at stake, Otto Addo is determined to ensure his team remains in control.
It’s always easier when you’re on top. We want to stay there. We will try to do everything to beat Madagascar on Monday to keep the top spot,” Addo emphasized.
A win against Madagascar would be a significant boost to Ghana’s qualification hopes, solidifying their position in the race for the 2026 World Cup. However, Madagascar, trailing by just two points, will be equally motivated to claim victory and reclaim the group’s top position.
