The Paris 2024 Olympics have started, with Ghana represented by eight athletes in three sports disciplines.
The athletes are Rose Yeboah (high jump), Harry Stacey and Joselle Mensah (swimming), and Saminu Abdul Rasheed, Joseph Paul Amoah, Fuseini Ibrahim, Botsio Isaac, and Benjamin Azamati (track and field).
Ghana’s campaign begins with swimming on Tuesday, July 30, as Harry Stacey competes in the Men’s 100m Freestyle – Heat 4.
On Friday, August 2, Rose Yeboah will compete in the Women’s high jump.
Joselle Mensah will participate in the Women’s 100m Freestyle – Heat 6, on the following day.
Also on that day, Azamati and Abdul Rasheed will compete in the Men’s 100m.
On August 8, the five sprinters will participate in the 4x100m relay – Round 1.
