Perfect Arsenal dominate UCL league phase

Arsenal wrapped up a flawless 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League league phase campaign by finishing top across all key metrics, sealing a 100 percent win record with a 3–2 victory over Kairat Almaty on the final matchday at the Emirates.

Despite making wholesale changes to the starting XI, the Gunners once again showcased their depth and attacking quality, doing just enough to secure all three points and complete a perfect run of eight wins from eight matches.

That result confirmed Arsenal as the first team to win every game in the league phase since the competition format was revised last season, underlining their consistency and authority throughout the campaign.

Mikel Arteta’s side finished first on the table with a maximum 24 points, while also emerging as the most prolific team in the league phase.

Arsenal found the back of the net 23 times and conceded just 4 goals in total, with half of those coming in their final outing against Kairat Almaty.

When Liverpool dominated the league phase last season, the hopes were high and were tipped to win but faulted in the round of 16 to Paris Saint Germain who had gone through the playoffs round.

Arsenal will hope to avoid such a feat and will hope to better their performance last season when they reached the semi finals but lost to eventual winners, Paris Saint Germain.

The paths for the knockout round including the round of 16 will be revealed by Uefa on Friday, January 30.
