Thiago Pitarch has made a definitive statement regarding his international future, reaffirming his ambition to represent Spain national team despite renewed interest from Morocco.

The Real Madrid midfielder, who remains eligible to play for Morocco through family ties, emphasized that his long-term dream lies firmly with Spain. Speaking to official media channels of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Pitarch declared his desire to rise through the ranks and achieve success at the highest level with La Roja.

“My dream is to debut with the senior national team and win titles,” he stated, underlining his commitment. Currently part of Spain’s under-21 setup, Pitarch described his inclusion as a step in a gradual journey toward the senior team. “If I’m here, it’s because I want to get to the top. Little by little,” he added.

Interest from Morocco has been persistent, with Yassine Bounou among those publicly encouraging the young midfielder to consider the Atlas Lions. Following an international friendly at the Metropolitano Stadium, Bounou reiterated Morocco’s openness to dual-nationality players.

“In Morocco, we will always welcome him with open arms,” Bounou said, acknowledging Pitarch’s ties to both nations. “He has family here and also in Spain. He will do what he truly feels. Any player who has a connection to Morocco is welcome especially if he is a Real Madrid player.”

Despite the external interest, Pitarch’s focus remains unwavering. Reflecting on his recent call-up, the teenager expressed gratitude and determination. “I’m very happy. I’m living a dream, both with my club and with the national team. I’ve worked toward this every day since I started,” he said.

Off the pitch, the midfielder maintains a grounded lifestyle, balancing football with his academic commitments. “I train, go to class, and then train again. I’m in my second year of high school and working toward my degree. It’s important to have something else going on,” he noted.

Pitarch also addressed the growing attention surrounding his rise, downplaying any notion of individual stardom. “I don’t really like the spotlight. It may seem like I’m the star, but I just want to be another player, no more important than my teammates,” he explained.

His integration into the national team environment has been seamless, with the youngster highlighting the positive atmosphere within the squad. “It’s a great group full of laughs and good energy. I enjoy building relationships with teammates, especially those I don’t see every day. Those are the connections you carry with you into the future,” he said.
