Ghana’s national team captain, Jordan Ayew, has emphasized the intense pressure that comes with representing the Black Stars but insists that professional footballers must be prepared to handle such challenges.

Speaking in an interview with Joy Sports ahead of Ghana’s crucial World Cup qualifier against Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium, Ayew acknowledged the expectations placed on the team.

When you play for Ghana, there’s huge pressure. But we’re professional footballers, and we need to rise to the challenge. Ayew stated.

The Leicester City forward also addressed the integration of foreign-born Ghanaian players like Iñaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo, highlighting the difference between club and international football.

International football and club football are totally different. Players like Iñaki Williams and Semenyo are Ghanaians, but they grew up elsewhere, so they need time. He explained.
