Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko SC and Accra Hearts of Oak have jointly called for enhanced security at Ghana Premier League matches following the tragic death of a Kotoko fan, Nana Pooley, during a recent game in Nsoatre.
In a joint statement, the two clubs announced the preparation of a position paper for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), proposing measures to improve fan safety and prevent future incidents.
They emphasized the need for collaboration with the GFA, government, and other stakeholders to ensure football venues are safe for all.
A meeting with the GFA Executive Committee is scheduled for February 6, 2025.
