President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to improving Ghana’s sporting infrastructure.

During his 2025 State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Thursday, February 27, Mahama highlighted plans to upgrade existing facilities and develop new ones in the newly created regions.

“Infrastructure development is a key part of our strategy. The government is dedicated to refurbishing national stadia, completing youth resource centers, and building new sports facilities in the new regions,” he stated.

He also stressed the importance of grassroots sports, stating, “We will prioritize community recreational facilities to encourage greater participation in sports at the grassroots level.”
